A Washington native, Dr. McKinney was born and raised in Seattle, and grew up in a house full of strong women, who unfortunately lacked the means and awareness to make health the highest priority in their lives. With her family as inspiration for her to practice medicine, Dr. McKinney completed her undergraduate Bachelor’s degree in General Biology at the University of Washington in 2012, and soon after received her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine at Bastyr University. During this time, she also became a licensed massage therapist, certified Biofeedback Practitioner, and certified Kinesiology Taping Practitioner. She has also received additional training in IV Nutrient Therapy, Ozone, WeberNeedle EndoLaser Therapy, and Microneedling. With this background, she provides holistic care to all patients of all ages.
Dr. McKinney has served on the Board of Directors for the Washington Association of Naturopathic Physicians (WANP), a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP) and as a House of Delegates Representative.
She is a mother, wife, sister, aunt and cat mom. Family and friends mean everything to Dr. McKinney! Her favorite pastime activities are cooking, sports, dancing, listening to music, attending music concerts, watching/attending sports events (ex. football/Seahawks, basketball, baseball/Mariners), soccer (Sounders), traveling with her loving husband, Thomas, and son, Gabriel, and playing with her two cats, Princess Xena and Duchess Prince.
